Alkoomi Black Label Riesling 750ml

Alkoomi Black Label Riesling is the estate's premium tier Riesling, sourced from selected vineyard blocks in the Frankland River sub-region of Western Australia's Great Southern — one of Australia's most distinguished environments for producing Riesling of intensity, purity, and exceptional longevity. The Black Label represents Alkoomi's finest selection, crafted to express the true quality potential of the Frankland River terroir. This wine presents a pale straw colour with vivid green hues and a highly aromatic nose of lime juice, citrus blossom, green apple, and a characteristic mineral, almost flinty note that is the hallmark of great Frankland River Riesling. On the palate it is bone-dry and precise, with concentrated citrus and apple fruit, vibrant natural acidity, and a long, clean, mineral finish of considerable length. This wine rewards cellaring and develops complexity with age. Alkoomi was established in 1971 by Merv and Judy Lange in the Frankland River sub-region of Western Australia's Great Southern, and today remains a leading family-owned estate — now in its second generation under Sandy Hallett and Rod Hallett. Alkoomi is one of the Great Southern's most respected producers, crafting wines that express the elegant, cool-climate character of the Frankland River region.
